Alexandra: ‘I love gay men’

ALEXANDRA Burke feels she can only trust gay men and hopes to build up a gay fan base.

The singer, 21, wants to become a gay icon like Kylie Minogue and Madonna.

Her debut album, Overcome, recently hit the number one spot on the UK music charts.

She said: “I would love to be a gay icon, but I’ve got a lot of hard work to do first.”

“I love gay men. They’re the only ones that I can trust. My friends Cormac and Dwayne are the most beautiful spirits in my life and I can trust them with my heart.”

Alexandra said gay men and heterosexual women tend to get along better than gay men and straight women.

“My gay friends don’t treat me any differently — they’re just normal and great spirits to be around. And you can be naked in front of them.”
