Peter Andre Confirms : “I’m not chasing Alexandra Burke”

Last week, a tabloid claimed that the popstar had been bombarding Burke with text messages after they met on The Paul O’Grady Show recently.

However, writing in his New magazine column, Andre insisted:

I said in an interview in New last week that I wanted to cook for Alexandra Burke because, after interviewing her on The Paul O’Grady Show, I discovered we had a mutual love of food.

I am a man of my word and have asked Alex if she would like to come round to mine for lunch sometime soon.

A story said we had been texting each other constantly and flirting since we met, but that’s not true. It’s not a hot date – I just think she is a nice girl and I wanted to invite her round. It’s as simple as that.

Andre has reportedly stayed single since splitting from glamour model Katie Price in May.
